First Impression: FITME Stick Foundation

Hello beautiful people :D

I'm here to tell you my first impression of a new foundation! It's the Fit Me foundation stick. It claims to be shine free. It has a powder core to eliminates shine, gel foundation blends seamlessly, easy to apply, and great on the go! I haven't purchased this product yet, but I did receive a sample in Cosmopolitan magazine. I am shade 120, and my first impression of this product is it defiantly is easy for an on the go girl. When I first applied this, it didn't seem like much coverage at all. And I do have dry patches of skin on my face and it didn't blend too well on my dry patches. It made it look very powdery on my dry skin. But on my oily skin, it looked great! The longer I wore it the better it looked. I did take a blending sponge and blended the foundation after about 5 minutes wearing it and I noticed the dry patches on my face really took the product well. After a few minutes of wearing this foundation, my skin looked very bright and had a great beautiful glow. But when I touched my face it did seem a little oily. I'm sure I can fix the little problems with some moisturizer and primer.

I can't say this product made my skin oily, I have extremely oily skin and I have yet to find a foundation that doesn't leave my skin oily. But this product did eliminate shine!! That is a major plus for me!! I will be purchasing this product!! And if you want to try this product you can purchase a cosmopolitan and receive the sample as well as a $1 off coupon :D

Clean Out and Organize Your Wardrobe

Does your wardrobe look like a tornado just went through it? Do you have clothes you never wear hanging in the back of your closet? Why don't you try cleaning out your wardrobe?
It's as easy as 10 simple steps!! Try it out!

Step 1: Take everything out of your closet. It's easier to sort through stuff when it's on the floor rather than hanging in the closet.

Step 2: Categorize everything! I used the categories tops, bottoms, jackets, and dresses. It's so much easier to decide what you want when you are looking at one category at a time.

Step 3: This step is totally optional!!**** Go through your hangers. A closet looks more organized when all the hangers are the same size and color. If you're like me (on a budget) you can't afford to go out and buy all matching hangers, so just use what you got! Skip to step 4!

Step 4: First put on a good pair of jeans, fix your hair, and add a little makeup :) I bet you're wondering what this has to do with with cleaning out and organizing your closet, just keep reading :)!!

Step 5: Now that you're looking good, try on all the tops! Check to make sure each ones fits, but just because something fits doesn't mean it flatters. Make sure they are all flattering for your body shape! Remember to ASK YOURSELF "If I were to go shopping right now, would I repurchase this if it were on the racks?" If the answer is no or probably not, then toss it! If you're not in love with your clothes then you will never feel beautiful in it!* Place the unwanted clothes in a bag!

Step 6: Now try on all your bottoms, jackets, dresses, and the other categories you have. Always check for fit and flattering of your body shape. Keep asking yourself if you would repurchase it again. Place all the unwanted items into the bag with the tops.

Step 7: Hang all your tops back up. Then sort by color, darkest to lightest. You can also sort by sleeve length. Example: Black long sleeve tops, then black short sleeve tops.

Step 8: Hang up all your bottoms and organize them by color, type, or whatever categories you desire. Proceed to do the same with the rest of the categories!

Step 9: Donate the unwanted clothes to your local thrift store or goodwill :)

Step 10: Admire your organized wardrobe :D

26 Tips Every Girl Should Know

1:Wash new jeans twice before returning or hemming them because they are too long. Why? Because jeans will always shrink in length when washed.

**2:Remove odors from vintage or thrift clothing by spritzing them with a mixture of one part vodka, two parts water.

3:If you get an oil stain on your favorite handbag, coat the mark with baby powder and let it stand overnight. By morning, the stain should be gone. If a bit still remains, repeat the process until the stain is completely gone.

4:If you don’t have time to try on jeans in the store, try the Neck Method: You can determine your size by placing the waistline of the jeans around the diameter of your neck. If the waistline of the pant comfortably meets at back of your neck, then the jeans will fit. Or the elbow to fingertip tip method. If you're elbow to your fingertip fit in the waist of jeans, then they are probably going to fit.

5:Cut down your closet by 25% by asking yourself this one question: “If I were shopping right this second, would I buy this?” If the answer’s no, out it goes

***6:Snap clip-on earrings onto flats for an instant evening shoe, or onto shirt collars for DIY embellishments

7:Blot, don’t rub, when you spill something on your clothes. Wiping or rubbing will actually further ingrain the stain into the weave.

8:Use hairspray to remove a lipstick stain.

9:Add a 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar to the final rinse cycle while doing laundry to maintain the wash of your favorite pair of dark jeans.

10:To stretch tight shoes, fill two freezer bags with water and place into each shoe. Let it freeze overnight. As the water freezes, it’ll gently expand your shoes. Break in stiff or too-snug shoes by slipping them on with socks and blasting your feet with a hot hairdryer.

11:If blush or bronzer breaks in your handbag, pre-moistened makeup removing wipes will clean up the loose powder flawlessly.

12:Hang a shoe bag on the back of your bathroom door and use it to hold makeup, toiletries, brushes, hair ties, etc.

13:If you have a small closet, never keep your shoes in clunky shoe boxes. Instead, always line up them on the floor.

14:Everyday bras should be replaced every three to six months, as that’s when they start to lose elasticity and support.

15:Pants a bit too tight? Let them air dry and stretch the waistband by hand (or with a hairdryer) while they’re still damp.

16:Fold jeans like a pro: Lay jeans on a flat surface, fold in half from left to right. Grab the stacked jean legs and fold them in half so the hem of the jeans lines up with the waistband. Fold the jeans in half one more time.

17:Wrap an empty bottle of your favorite perfume in a handkerchief and tuck it into your underwear drawer for a subtle scent.

18:If you’re unsure about an impulse or sale purchase, leave it at the store. If you’re still thinking about it when you wake up the next day, buy it.

19:It’s a myth that loose styles flatter a large bust or a plus-size woman. The area just under the bust is a woman’s smallest torso measurement, so emphasizing it with a structured waistband that hits higher than your natural waist will make you look a size smaller.

20:When it doubt, always choose the smaller denim size, since jeans stretch with wear.

21:The easiest way to make your closet look organized: Buy all the same hangers for everything–same color, same shape.

22:If you can’t fit two fingers underneath your bra band comfortably, it’s probably too tight.

23:Pile on good accessories—scarves, sunglasses, hats, statement jewelry—to instantly transform even the most basic outfit

.24:A good tip when cleaning out your closet: Ask a friend whose style you admire to come over and help. She/he might offer new insight on how to wear certain items before you toss them.

25:If you're on a budget like me, a hot glue gun works amazingly well to hem skirts, pants and even jeans in a pinch.

26:Wear your new real leather jacket in the rain to break it in. Water will soften up the leather and allow it to stretch and crease at specific points on your body.

Common Makeup Mistakes

The main purpose of makeup is to enhance your natural beauty not cover it up! I see a lot of girls doing these things and there are such easy fixes to these, there's no reason to walk around like this anymore!

1: Harsh Eyeliner
My personal experience with eyeliner took a LOT of learning, and even more mistakes. I use to walk around with really black eyeliner on the eyelid and in my water line. That's a NO NO!! Wearing harsh eyeliner makes the eyes look smaller, resulting in unattractive eyes.
The fix: Tight line the eyes. This makes the eyelashes look a lot fuller therefore resulting in larger, sexy eyes!
.Using clean fingers, gently lift your lashes upward. You'll see tiny gaps between your lash hairs, which you'll be filling in with eye liner. Now take your eyeliner and lightly dab the eye liner in between each individual lash (as close to the root as possible). Start at the the inner and work to the outer corner of your eye.
To intensify the look, tightline your bottom lash line as well. It's the same concept as the top, but you'll be filling in the space between your lower lashes. And the finished product promises sexy eyes :)

My Recommendations:
Maybelline Line Express Eyeliner
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner

2: Undone eyebrows
I, too, use to not even touch my eyebrows, but eyebrows are a really important part of makeup. Having nice defined eyebrows makes you look more polished and groomed.
The fix: Tweeze your eyebrows to the designed shape. It may take a while to get to the designed shape. Using me as an example, I had straight eyebrows there was no arch at all. I wanted a arch. So I tweezed to the best of my ability to resemble an arch. After months of doing this, I now have a nice sharp arch. Also, fill your eyebrows in! Just take an angled eyeliner brush and an shadow matching your eyebrows and fill those suckers in! Remember to do it very light handed. It's harder to take product off than to add product on. You don't want really dark eyebrows, just fill in the gaps! There are lots of powders and gel eyebrow kits you can purchase.

Here are my recommendations:
Elf Eyebrow Kit
NYC Eyebrow Pencil
Maybelline Eyebrow Definer

3:Lack Of Moisturizer
A lot of girls, including me, think that they shouldn't use moisturizer because they have oily skin. Well, I'm glad I learned different! If you make this mistake then you probably have seen your makeup cake up and look well like makeup! There are plenty of oil free moisturizers out there for oily girls. There are also oil absorbing sheets! USE THEM!! You don't want to be a cake face because that looks doesn't look good on a lot of people!

My recommendations:
Olay UV Sensitive Lotion
Clean and Clear Dual Action Oil Free Moisturizer

4:Skipping the Blush and Contour
I'm not saying you have to do this everyday, but if you are wearing a lot of foundation then you definitely need to. Your face has natural blush and contour but when you apply foundation it covers and hides those natural colors. You need to add color back into your face! There are plenty of youtube videos to learn how to do this!

The fix: Here are some of my favorite youtube gurus!
NitraaB
Belasspirit
Nicole Gurriero
MakeUpByJannyBaby

 My recommendations:
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

5: Disappearing Lips
I love a great smokey eye and a nude lip, but the nude lip still needs to look like lips! I shouldn't have to look for your lips, they should still be visible.

The Fix: Line your lips with a nice slightly brown lip liner to make my lips look defined!

My Recommendations:
NYC lip liner
Wet N Wild Lip Liner

6: Under Eye Concealer
I see many, many, many people trying to cover black rings under the eyes. Unfortunately, they are doing it all wrong! Concealer doesn't just go only directly under the eye. Also, it helps A LOT to also highlight under the eyes, this will make them appear more bright and awake.  '
The Fix: Instead of applying the eyeliner in a line under the eyes, draw a triangle like so in the picture!

My Recommendations:
Hard Candy Concealer
Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1
